Michael Bisping (24-5) has been forced out of his UFC Fight Night 30 bout with Mark Munoz (13-3), after suffering a detached retina which is likely to keep him out of action for 4-6 months. With the card, set to be held in Manchester, England, now lacking star power in Bisping’s absence, the UFC have opted to bring in Lyoto Machida (19-4, pictured), who will now take on Munoz in the main event.
Machida had been scheduled to appear on the UFC Fight For The Troops 3 event on November 6th against Tim Kennedy (16-4). However, with Machida stepping in to take on Munoz, a replacement for Kennedy will now be sought and announced in the coming days.

A disappointed Bisping said,
“Words cannot describe how sad I am having to withdraw from my fight. I apologise to the UFC, to Munoz and to everyone who bought tickets.”
