The thirty year old Schaub, who lost out in the finals of TUF Season 10 to Roy Nelson (19-9), has amassed a 6-3 record during his time with the UFC, scoring victories over the likes of Gabriel Gonzaga (16-7) and Mirko Cro Cop (28-11-2, 1nc).
After suffering a setback with consecutive knockout defeats, to Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (34-8-1, 1nc) and Ben Rothwell (33-9), Schaub has shown a return to form after notching up back to back victories over Lavar Johnson (17-8) via unanimous decision and most recently Matt Mitrione (6-3), who he defeated via submission at UFC 165 in September, 2013.
